John Kok is the President and Senior Financial Advisor of Navigator Financial. John has over 35 years of experience in the industry and is well-regarded by his peers, staff, associates and clients. John has delivered hundreds of presentations to industry groups as well as the general public on the subjects of estate, charitable, financial, retirement and investment planning.
John has earned the following designations and degree: Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch FC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Masters in Theological Studies.
He is a member in good standing of the following professional organizations and subscribes to their respective codes of ethics and rules of conduct: Canadian Institute of Financial Planners, Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (Advocis), and Estate Planning Council of Edmonton. John is a former board member of the Bissell Centre and of Grant MacEwan College and has served as an industry consultant to numerous organizations including Canadian Association of Gift Planners, University of Alberta, Baptist General Conference, Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), and Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) to name but a few.
John is married to Valerie who is also active with Navigator. They have two grown sons, Josh and Michael. John enjoys traveling, reading, writing, studying, photography, fitness, and especially his children and his beautiful granddaughters Quinn and Isla.
